A life shaped by nature

Jose Urdiales was born in Asturias, Spain and now lives in Oxfordshire in the UK. Inspired by landmarks, natural landscapes and wildlife, Jose has been self-learning and practising art across many different media with the long-term ambition of becoming a full-time artist.

Although he loves working in most media—from digital to oils—his favourites are gouache and acrylics. Their simplicity and versatility allow him to produce everything from large landscapes and wildlife studies to smaller dynamic illustrations.

Jose is open to commissions and welcomes the opportunity to create original artwork tailored to individual ideas, spaces and personal stories. Whether it is a favourite landscape, a beloved animal or a unique concept, each piece is approached with care, curiosity and attention to detail.
